01 · Anatomy-driven technique
Master injection techniques built on a deep understanding of facial anatomy, ageing, and vascular structures. The foundation of every natural, balanced result.
02 · The science behind injectables
Understand the pharmacology of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers so you can make confident clinical decisions. Not just follow a recipe.
03 · Complication prevention and management
Recognise, prevent, and manage complications including vascular occlusion, asymmetry, and allergic reactions. Expert emergency protocols built in from day one.
04 · Patient assessment and ethical practice
Develop expertise in facial analysis, consultation, and ethical patient communication. Every treatment tailored to the person in front of you.
Look Inside the Course
Pharmacology · Foundation
The Aesthetic Foundations curriculum goes beyond injection technique. You'll understand exactly how botulinum toxin works at the neuromuscular junction: how the toxin binds, how SNARE proteins are blocked, and why the result is temporary muscle relaxation rather than permanent change.
This is the pharmacological foundation that separates a practitioner who understands their product from one who simply follows a dose chart.
Anatomy · Applied
Every muscle in the curriculum is taught with three reference points: the anatomical location, the mechanism of action, and a real patient presentation. The Procerus, for example, is a small superficial muscle overlying the nasal bridge that draws glabellar skin inferiorly, producing horizontal lines over the nasal dorsum.
Knowing its origin, insertion, and function tells you exactly where to place, how much to use, and what result to expect. That is what anatomy-driven technique means in practice.

Built For
Three honest places to begin. We'll help you place yourself accurately during your enquiry call.
You're a registered health professional with a clinical background but no aesthetic injecting experience. You want to build the career properly. Start with Foundation or the full bundle.
You trained two or five years ago, lapsed, and you're ready to come back. Or you trained overseas and need an NZ-compliant refresh. We'll place you accurately and rebuild confidence.
You've completed a foundation course elsewhere and you're ready to expand technique or modality. Advanced or Filler Foundation builds on what you already know.
What Makes Us Different
Six things you won't always find in NZ aesthetic training, but will find here.
Every student receives a comprehensive self-directed training pack: presentations, videos, case studies, and a digital workbook to reference throughout your entire career. Not just during the course.
Training is training. No oversight commitments required to complete your course. If you do choose to join the MObyJC community afterwards, you receive an exclusive discounted rate on medical oversight.
Enrol in the Foundation and Advanced bundle and receive the Aesthetic Injector Starter Pack ($500) and Treatment and Adverse Event Protocol Manual ($450) at no extra cost.
Access to ongoing MObyJC workshops doesn't end when your course does. Workshops are complimentary for MObyJC members and discounted for Academy students.

Honest Answers
The questions most likely to come up before you enquire. Answered candidly.
Most students choose the Anti-Wrinkle and Dermal Filler bundle because it's the most cost-effective complete entry into aesthetic practice. Three courses in one, with the Starter Pack and Protocol Manual included. If budget is a consideration, start with Anti-Wrinkle Foundation and add courses as you progress. We'll help you place yourself accurately on your discovery call.
No. The Foundation course is designed for registered health professionals with no prior aesthetic injecting experience. You need a clinical background and current registration, but not aesthetic experience. If you've trained before and want to assess your level, book a discovery call and we'll place you accurately.
Practical days take place at JC Injectables clinic in South Auckland. You'll work through supervised injection practice under NP oversight in a real clinical environment. Cohort sizes are kept small to protect your supervised practice time. You'll complete a competency-based assessment on the day, not just a written exam.
You'll be clinically ready to inject within scope on completion. Practising aesthetics independently requires indemnity insurance, prescribing rights or a standing order arrangement, and a compliant clinic environment. We walk you through all of this during the course and can support you with next steps, including MObyJC oversight if you choose it.
No. Training is training. There are no oversight commitments required to complete your course. If you choose to join the MObyJC community afterwards, you receive an exclusive discounted rate on medical oversight. That's entirely your call.
Yes. CPD hours are documented on completion and are recognised by the Nursing Council for continuing competence. The programme is endorsed by the College of Nurses Aotearoa, and other professional bodies recognise the hours under their own CPD frameworks.
The Starter Pack is a practical resource bundle valued at $500, designed for your first months in practice. It includes clinical reference materials, consent and documentation templates, and resources that support council licensing applications. The Treatment and Adverse Event Protocol Manual (valued at $450) is a separate document covering emergency response protocols for your clinic. Both are included free when you enrol in the Foundation and Advanced bundle.
